DR. Shaynee Belau, DVM

dr Belau grew up in southern Minnesota. He graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She moved to Arizona to attend Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine before joining the TSVC team after graduating. dr Belau has interests in emergency medicine, surgery, and shelter/community medicine. While attending vet school, she enjoyed volunteering at the Midwest Mobile Veterinary Clinic, providing preventative and surgical care to animals in underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, skiing and snuggling with her two adorable cats, Lincoln and Mochi.

Dra. Courtney Blackmon, DVM

dr Courtney Blackmon grew up in the Midwest and began her path to veterinary medicine in Austin, Texas. During her time in Texas, she began working at a small animal veterinary clinic, apprenticed with a horse trainer, and learned to breed her own horse. She has also spent time at a wildlife rehabilitation center protecting/rescuing dogs and cats. She attended Colorado State University in the beautiful Front Range where she developed a passion for preparedness, behavior and nutrition. He developed his interest in emergency medicine and surgery while working in a small animal emergency room and in the department of surgery at CSU. The prospect of sun and warm weather brought her west to Arizona. He has two German shepherd crosses, two gray cats and two Arabian horses. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and exploring Arizona.

DR. Nechama (Nikki) Bloom, DVM

dr Nikki Bloom looks forward to lovingly treating the animals at Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic! She graduated from Midwestern University's inaugural class in 2018, near the top of her class. She loves treating dogs and cats with an emphasis on preventive medicine. His goal is to work with each client individually to develop the best possible treatment plan for them and their pets. dr Bloom is originally from San Diego, CA. His love for animals and the outdoors began at a young age and he spent his childhood alternating between the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Wild Animal Park. Doctor Bloom studied animal science at Rutgers University in New Jersey and moved to Phoenix to attend Midwestern University's veterinary school. In her free time she enjoys swimming, yoga, rock climbing, watching movies and spending time with her husband, new baby, 2 dogs and the turtle.

Dra. Gabriela Bronstein, DVM

dr Bronstein is originally from New York City. She has always had an interest in working with animals, but she only started her path to veterinary medicine in her sophomore year. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a minor in philosophy. After graduating, she spent 6 months in Thailand volunteering at an elephant sanctuary before earning her medical degree from City College of New York. She then moved to Arizona to complete her veterinary degree at Midwestern University. She is interested in emergency medicine and prevention. She takes great pride in building relationships with clients, working with them to treat their pets and helping them live happy and healthy lives. In her free time, she enjoys taking kickboxing and dance classes, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family. He has a 5 year old dog named Amos and a 9 year old cat named Messi.

Dra. Alysse Budd, DVM

dr Growing up in Ohio, Budd nurtured his love of animals while frequently taking his dogs to the Toledo Zoo and local Metroparks. Her passion for veterinary medicine was cemented when she learned from her parents (both DMAT nurses) about the brave veterinarians who volunteer during natural disasters along with their parents and other humanitarian medical professionals to rescue families and homeless pets . dr Budd worked as a veterinary assistant at a spay and neuter clinic during school vacations while earning his BS in Animal Science and his BS in Biology from the University of Findlay, OH. She then earned her PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois CVM and volunteered at the U of I Wildlife Medical Clinic caring for injured wildlife. His current interests are exotic pet medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine and building strong client relationships. When he's not helping the animals, Dr. Budd enjoys walking, painting, crafting and spending time with family, friends and his dog, Moose.

Dra. Megan Buscema, DVM

dr Buscema is from Tucson, Arizona. Always growing up surrounded by dogs, horses and cats, she knew early on that she wanted to dedicate her life to them. He received his veterinary science degree from the University of Arizona, majoring in microbiology and biochemistry. After graduating, he moved to Glendale, Arizona to pursue a veterinary medicine degree from Midwestern University. Doctor Buscema is very excited to join the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team! Megan has an interest in preventative care while building strong client relationships to care for everyone's four-legged friends. When she's not helping other animals, she enjoys cooking, hiking, spending time with her rescue terrier mix, Poppy, or enjoying the company of her horse, Elco.

Dra. Brianna Capria, DVM

dr Growing up in upstate New York, Capria developed an interest in working with animals from an early age. After high school, Dr. Capria to Buffalo, where he earned a degree in Veterinary Technology from MEDAL College. He then worked for 6 years as a state-certified veterinary technician. During those 6 years he also earned a Masters of Public Health from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Capria to the island of St. Kitts (St. Kitts) to complete her bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. His main interests are emergency medicine and exotic pet medicine. In her free time, Dr. Capria enjoys walking, swimming, cooking and reading with her dog Rascal.

Dra. Sara Colin, DVM, MS, CWR

dr Colin grew up in Illinois and his passion for animals began at a young age when his grandmother bought him copies of Zoobooks. dr Colin volunteered at her local wildlife clinics before earning her dual degrees in Life Sciences and Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His passion for wildlife grew when he completed his Masters in Conservation Medicine at Tufts University, where he was able to study his favorite animal: bears. dr Colin earned his PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also held consulting positions at the Wildlife Medical Clinic. In addition, Dr. Colin received her Certification in Wildlife Rehabilitation (CWR) from the International Council for Wildlife Rehabilitation. to dr Colin's areas of interest include surgery and exotic/wildlife medicine. In her free time, Dr. Colin enjoys spending time with her dog and turtle, watching movies and playing tennis.

Dr. A. S. AS Rowena D'Monte, DVM

D'Monte grew up in India and decided as a child that she wanted to be a veterinarian because her family could not afford the vet bills for all of their pets. She graduated from Washington State University in 1984 and has worked with the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic since its inception in 2005. She has many pets including 4 dogs, 2 cats, a snake, a rabbit, a turtle and an iguana. He has a particular interest in alternative medicine and therapies such as cold lasers, chiropractic and acupuncture. In her free time, she enjoys walking, eating out, watching movies and eating cotton candy.

Dra. Beth Engelschall, DVM

dr Beth Engelschall was born in Illinois and moved to Arizona with her family in 1998. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2013 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree. She then attended Colorado State University where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Thailand in 2017. After graduating, she returned to Arizona to begin her career as a veterinarian. His professional interests include preventive medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, hiking, reading and cooking. She shares her home with five rescue cats: Marshmallow, Waldo, Baxter, Archie and Smudge, and her rescue dog, Toby.

Dr. Morgan Hawken, DVM

Morgan Hawken, M.D. is originally from Los Angeles but moved to Arizona to study veterinary medicine. She knew as a child that she wanted to be a vet like every child dreams of, but she made her dream come true. She graduated from SMU in Dallas, TX with a BS in Business and then attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Her favorite aspects of her job are surgeries and working on complex, challenging cases. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, trying new restaurants and spending time with her two dogs and a cat.

Dr. James Hertz, DVM

dr Hertz was born and raised north of New York City in Westchester County. Ever since he was a young child he has always had a love and passion for animals and grew up with many animals at home. She ventured far from home to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue)! He moved further west to escape the cold winters and came to Arizona to study veterinary medicine at Midwestern University. After falling in love with the Arizona weather and meeting his fiancé at vet school, he decided to call Arizona his new home. He and his fiancee have two dogs, Honey and Chili, and a cat, Kesha. dr Hertz has developed an interest in soft tissue surgery and preventive medicine and looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and their families. In his free time he enjoys hiking, swimming, snowboarding, watching Netflix and is a big sports fan.

Dra. Samantha Gans, DVM

dr Samantha Gans is originally from the east coast. dr Goose became interested in veterinary medicine after spending a week visiting a very special black Lab, Squirrel-Fish, who was being treated at the local emergency vet clinic. He left the coast to complete his bachelor's degree in animal sciences at KSU. From there she moved to Arizona with her husband and son Colton and earned her DVM from Midwestern University. They really appreciated the low humidity here and decided to stay. dr Gans is interested in emergency medicine, ophthalmology and pain management. She holds a special place in her heart for geriatric furry companions and keeps the human-pet bond strong through the years. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, camping, and swimming with her family. He has a dog named Trixie and a cat named Nash.

dr Gorham is originally from colorful Colorado. He attended college in southern Illinois (go Salukis!) and vet school at the University of Illinois. He came to Arizona to escape the cold. He enjoys reading, playing games and spending time by the pool. Her favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling on the couch with her rescued Great Dane, Dory. She is thrilled to be in Arizona and willing to help all of the cats and dogs; big or small.

Dra. Marissa Gibbs, DVM

dr Gibbs was born in Arizona and received a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from the University of Arizona. While at college, she began her veterinary career as a kennel assistant and veterinary assistant at a local small animal clinic. After graduating, she worked as a veterinary assistant/technician in Queen Creek for two years before attending veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After enjoying the beer and cheese that Wisconsin had to offer, she decided to return to the desert with her husband and their two dogs, Brady and Maya. Dra. Teresa Horsley, DVM

dr Horsley grew up in Illinois and Rome, Italy as a child. He graduated from Benedictine University with a BS in Biology, majoring in Animal Science and Mathematics. After graduating, he graduated from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada. Her passion is for all creatures, large and small, which began with butterflies and moths during her research. In his free time, he coordinates Murder Mystery dinner parties and board games. He currently has 2 cats, 1 rabbit, a ball python and a beta fish.

dr Hodges is originally from Tyler, Texas. Always an animal lover, he has volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center where he has had the opportunity to work with many interesting species including raccoons, otters, beavers, skunks and even a kangaroo. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Behavior from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 2014. After graduating, he worked as a veterinary technician for almost 4 years before moving to Arizona to attend veterinary school. Hodges received his DVM degree from Midwestern University in 2021. While at Midwestern, Dr. Hodges has developed a strong interest in emergency and preventive medicine and strives to form lasting bonds with his patients and their people at TSVC. In his spare time he enjoys exploring valley restaurants and craft breweries with his wife Kelsi, hiking, snowboarding and spending time with his golden retriever Mia.

Dr. Samuel Kerby, DVM

dr Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kerby attended Coe College in Iowa for his bachelor's degree before earning his DVM from Washington State University in May 2018. After 8 years he decided to return to the South West to enjoy the sun and warm weather afterwards. all the rain and snow. He's worked at an animal clinic since ninth grade, doing everything from cleaning and handing over kennels to veterinarians. dr Kerby has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, dermatology, low stress cat management and every corgi seen at our clinic! On his days off, Dr. Kerby likes to hike, play tennis, cook, play golf and play games.

Dr. William J. Langhofer, DVM

dr Langhofer grew up in Indiana, the son of a veterinarian. He graduated from Purdue University in 1998, becoming the youngest veterinarian in the country. He works closely with many types of exotic pets and has a keen interest in holistic medicine for dogs and cats. He and his wife have a beautiful daughter and 2 sons. Her pets at home include 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 birds and a desert tortoise. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, spicy food and is an avid canoeist.

Dra. Hailey Magnussen, DVM

dr Hailey Magnussen was born in Southern California but grew up in Arizona and attended Arizona State University for her bachelor's degree. She worked as a veterinary technician at the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic before attending veterinary school at Colorado State University. She worked in the CSU Department of Surgery and Intensive Care Unit while studying veterinary science and developed a passion for soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine, as well as preventative medicine. While she loved the beautiful hikes and winter activities that Colorado had to offer, she's excited to be back in Arizona! He has a dog, Rocco, and a cat, Spunky. In her free time, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, hiking, and cooking.

dr Newman grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he received his Bachelor of Science and DVM from North Carolina State University. Let's go pack of wolves! She has had a love for animals since she was a child, growing up with 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, fish and a turtle! When she was in ninth grade, she began volunteering at a local veterinary clinic and rescue groups, and her passion for veterinary medicine grew quickly. During her fourth year of veterinary school, she did an internship at the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and decided to transfer to a full-time position after graduation. Outside of veterinary medicine, she loves to travel, attend shows, hike and spend time with friends and family.

dr Tanaka is straight from Honolulu, Hawaii. She has always loved being around animals, but only decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine during her final semester of graduation. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of the Pacific in Oregon. He returned home to work as a veterinary technician until he began studying veterinary medicine at Washington State University. He enjoys working with clients and has a particular interest in relationships and communication around great medicine. In his free time, he likes to go to the nearest body of water and enjoy the sun.

Dr. Aiden Tansey, DVM

dr Tansey is originally from Arizona but has moved a lot, including three years in Germany. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS in Veterinary Sciences and a minor in Biochemistry. After graduating, he moved across the country to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. During her vet training, she had the opportunity to travel and work with World Vets International to provide veterinary care to a variety of animals in remote communities in Peru. While she enjoyed reliving all four seasons, she looks forward to returning to the Valley of the Sun.Her interests include surgery, emergency medicine, and general medicine. In her free time, Dr. Tansey loves adventures, reads, paints and cuddles with her goofy puppies Max and Roxy.

Dra. Nicole Winterwood, DVM

dr Winterwood grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate. She worked as a research technician, majoring in cancer and cell biology before attending veterinary school at Iowa State University. After graduation, she relocated to Arizona to begin a rotating internship at a 24-hour emergency hospital before joining us here at TSVC came. dr Winterwood has a particular interest in zoo medicine, particularly big cats, and has spent considerable time working in zoos and with wildlife abroad. She has 3 cats at home and intends to adopt a greyhound soon. In her free time, Dr. Winterwood enjoys running, watching scary movies, and spending time with friends.

dr Lisa Radosta, DVM, DACVB, Veterinary Behavior (Telemedicine only)

dr Lisa Radosta, a board-certified behavioral veterinarian in Florida, can offer doctor-to-doctor behavioral telemedicine counseling for your pet. A check up would be done with the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to see one of our doctors and then they would see Dr. Provide all information to Radoste. Doctor Radosta would then provide an assessment report, behavioral diagnostic checklist and initial treatment plan recommendations to our vets who would then work with you to implement the plan with you and your pet. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Coral Springs Animal Hospital, she worked as a primary care veterinarian for two and a half years. He completed a 3-year residency in behavioral medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and passed the board exam that same year. During his residency, he received the Resident Research Award from the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists for two consecutive years. She has owned the Florida Veterinary Behavior Service since 2007. dr Radosta has been involved in tracking, obedience, herding and therapy dog ​​work with personal dogs, always Rottweilers. She currently shares her life with a wonderful husband, Scott, and daughter, Isabella, as well as Maverick, her Labrador Retriever, and Chewie, her cat.

Dr. Jason M. Eberhardt DVM, MS, DACVIM (Medicina Interna)

Eberhardt, MD grew up in Phoenix and attended high school and college in the Valley. After graduating from Colorado State University Veterinary School, he completed an internship at Ohio State University and a residency in internal medicine at the University of Missouri. During his residency, he also completed his master's degree after writing a thesis on new therapies for feline asthma. In 2010 he graduated from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. After his specialist training, Dr. Eberhardt returned to Phoenix and worked in private practice for four years. In February 2014, he became one of the first faculty members of the new Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has served in a variety of positions at Midwestern University, including two and a half years as Director of the Companion Animal Clinic. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University. dr Eberhardt returned to private practice with a new love for working directly with pets and their owners.

Valley Veterinary Cardiology: The veterinary cardiologist behind our mobile services is Dr. Cristóbal Paige. Chris has been working in this field for over 10 years but has always had a passion for animals. dr Paige is certified in cardiology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). He has worked in private specialty practices in Mesa, Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona for more than nine years providing comprehensive interventional cardiology services. In 2012 dr. Paige was hired for cardiovascular research at a world-renowned human health products company. He also served as Chair of ACVIM's Residency Training Committee and is an Associate Professor at the Midwest School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2014 he founded Veterinary Specialists of Northern Arizona to provide cardiology services in and around Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Campe Verde, Sedona. He opened Valley Veterinary Cardiology in August 2016 to offer the first cardiology practice dedicated to veterinary support for patients, clients and primary care. In his free time, Dr. Paige enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as his family's pets. He also enjoys hiking, running, mountain biking and skiing.
